I have a rule! If somewhere makes something that's the best you've ever had, it gets an auto 5 star. As a vegetarian I've eaten vegan pho all over. It normally, infamously, sucks. But this spot makes the best vegan pho I've ever had. The broth is fragrant, well-spiced, and umami! The veggies are plentiful. Only criticism is that the tofu is cut way too thick (see pic), but that's nitpicking! I really liked it a lot, and can't remember eating a better one. I also got one vegan chickn summer roll (which was meh, I didn't like the texture of the chikn) and one tofu summer roll (which was tasty, but not best I've ever had). The vegan pho is what sends this to S-tier territory, and id come back for it! BTW; no space to sit indoor. FYI.

Came here for some Pho and Banh Mi, twice now. I really liked their Pho broth, very nice. I would definitely come back for another Pho. The first time I got Banh Mi I remember really loving it, the second time I hardly liked it. Not sure if something changed or it was just me. It was only 1 month between visits. Since the Pho was just as good, maybe it's just me.

Lucy's Vietnamese may have limited dining space, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in flavor. I recently tried their smoked brisket Banh Mi, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The combination of juicy meat, toasty bread, and flavorful fillings made each bite delectable. If you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, this place is a must-try - trust me, you won't regret it!

It's more fusion than real Viet pho and banh mi, but it's pretty good. Doesn't quite satisfy my itch for Dac Biet and beef tendon, but in a clinch, it works.

I ordered Lucy's Vietnamese for delivery on a rainy Friday night in which the beef brisket pho was the perfect antidote. The 14-hour smoked beef brisket was top notch. Noodles and soup broth flavor on point. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a comforting, hearty soup to warm yourself on a cold winter evening. The delivery comes in their signature reusable red totebag with handles, which is an admirable branding touch So grateful there's a location in my hood, and can't wait to try out the other menu items!

BLUF: Above average pho and sandwiches. I love the story of Lucy's Vietnamese, as chronicled by the New York Times in 2015 -- thematically, that one can succeed with grit, hard work, and maybe a little luck. Lucy's Vietnamese has since added two more locations in Brooklyn, and an experiment in tacos -- Lucy's Kitchen -- just over the border in Ridgewood, Queens. Lucy's Vietnamese offers a focused main menu of three proteins (smoked beef brisket, lemongrass chicken, tofu) and a vegetable option in sandwich, noodle soup, or noodle bowl (i.e., dry) form. Food: Good (3.5 of 5 stars). We tried two things to go: - Smoked Brisket Phở: $16. Smoked beef brisket is the only protein, and Lucy's provides a generous amount of it. The brisket is lean, and tasty on its own or dipped in your own BBQ sauce. However, the brisket toughens a little when added to hot soup, as the soup cooks the brisket a little more. The soup is flavorful, with mushrooms and some bok choy. Note that the brisket used for the soup is different that the cut used for the sandwich. The sandwich uses a fatty cut that imparts a delicious creaminess to each bite. - Lemongrass Chicken Bánh Mì: $14. On the small side, but packed tightly with ingredients. The chicken is a bit dry. The bread is really good -- soft, thin, with a slight crisp. Logistics and Other: - The restaurant uses the Block (Square) ecosystem for card payments and loyalty program(s). - There is currently no indoor seating, but there is an outdoor dining shed. - Our order came in a lovely reusable red shopping bag.
